There is a large choice of glazing sealants in the market for the consumer to use. Application of a glazing sealant can be diverse, from a small window to large insulated glass units in extreme weather conditions. In Holland the installation of glazing sealant conforms to NEN 3576 and the NPR 3577 standards. There is a new standard currently under review being NPR 3577 (Dutch Practice Guideline). The new standard on the NPR is that glazing sealants must comply to ISO 11600 G20 or ISO 11600 G25. For a glazing sealant to reach the international standard ISO 11600, the sealant is tested on 13 different points, such as UV, weathering, shrinkage etc. The ISO 11600 certificate gives you a guarantee that the product is a very high quality.
