Please find below a translation from a press release about a test, that was made by glass producer Glaverbell on the compatibility from sealants in relation to coated glass (Lerobel).

Coated glass is more and more used for all kinds of applications in construction. The glueing and sealing of this type of glass brings about quite some risks. As some glues and sealants contain substances that can damage the coating, Glaverbel did some research on the forbearance from these products, in their lab in Zeebrugge, Belgium.

Glaverbel tested the most occurring sealants, for successfully glueing and sealing Lacobel White and found out that the Zwaluw Silicone-N and Zwaluw Hybrifix Super-7, can be used without any risk on the above mentioned type of glass. Note that the subsoil during placing, has to be dry, clean and non-fat.

Zwaluw Hybrifix Super-7 is in particular suitable for durable glueing from Lacobel White. The product has a fast curing time from around 4mm per 24 hrs and takes care of a powerful connection. You get the best results by applying the sealant in lines from around 6 to 8mm with a mutual distance of ca. 15 cm.
